Got Drunk After Lap Band Surgery… Need Help ?

I was a hardcore alcoholic in the early part of my life which caused obesity problems but I completely denounced it after when I had lap band surgery. Past day I went onto a party at my friend’s home where some people forcefully made me drink one pack of wine. I am afraid that whether it would cause any kind of complications or not to the band and need some justification in this regard. I puked out twice yesterday and once in the morning. Is it serious and should I consult my surgeon?

First of all I should tell you that you should not have consumed alcohol when you have hade your weight loss surgery. Once pack of drink would not cause any kind of complications and there would be no harm done to your health. Lap band and alcohol does not go together because your objective of weight loss is not fulfilled if you continue to consume wine.

As far as your vomiting is concerned, I think that it is normal for an individual to puke out who has consumed it after a long time period. There is nothing to get serious and you are perfectly alright. Don’t take a lot of stress because it would contribute to your health in negative sense. I think that the vomiting should stop by now and if it continues, my only advise to you would be to rush to your lap band surgeon as quickly before things get serious your way.
